79* 41 Longitude Chidambaram Kanchi Kalahasti Three Elements Temple

One thing is for sure.

Hinduism/ Indian philosophy not for the weakhearted!

As I was researching for information on Chidambrama Nataraja Temple, I found some information that was astounding.

Chidambaram Nataraja.Image.jpg

Chidambaram Nataraja.

These three Pancha Bhuta(Five elements, Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether) fall in a straight Line at 79 degree 41 minutes East longitude.

I do not take things for granted and I checked with Google Maps.

I called for a search with the search term ’79 degrees 41 minutes Longitude’ in Google(India) Maps India.

The result is reproduced below.

Kanchipuram Ekambareswara Temple and Kalahasti Shiva temple fall in the same Longitude in a Straight Line.

Sri Kalahasti,Kanchipuram and Chdambaram Fall in a Straight Line

The temple for water is in Thiruvanaikaval, fire is in Thiruvannamalai , air is in Kalahasti ,  earth is  in  Kanchipuram  and The temple for space/sky is in Chidambaram.

Earth is nestled between Sky/Ether/Space, Aakasa( Chidambaram) and Air,Vayu(Kalahasti).

Earth is surrounded by Space and Air.

Sri Kalahastheeswara.

Aakasaath Vayuhu ,Vayor Agni, Agniyor Aapaha, Aapaprithivi.

From Space, Air, Fire from Air, Water from Fire,Earth from water.

I shall be writing on the scientific progression involved in this.

Tiruvanaikkaval is located at around 3  degrees to the south and exactly 1 degree to the west of the northern  tip of this divine axis, while Tiruvannamalai is around midway (1.5  degree to the south and 0.5 degree to the west).

Fire and Water are not kept together to facilitate  Evolution.

I shall be writing in detail about each of these Mystic and scientific Temples.

No problem! Hope you find more information about sacred geomentry especially about our Indian Temples. In every our customs there are reasons behind it. People merely changed into lots of things “abasagunam” etc.

        1. The turmeric 3 lines on vasagal is keep away anti bacterail things. In olden days, people apply turmeric and walk as it preventing bacterial disease.

        2. Going temple and take a bath in that River, sea or any water source is mainly each place water has different minerals.Especaily Sea has different mineral which can absorb by skin. Hence it was the custom. We need these mineral only small amount. As skin is big area it can absorb more.

        3. Having vilakku, arathi is to destroy bacteria in the air in the temple. As lots of people gathering it is necessary to reduce disease spread by air. Continous vilakku and AArathi was doing that. Here in my son’s school practical they do this before culture bactria in agar dish.

        4. Having Verrilai helps for diegestion. SO it was given after meal. You don’t need sunnambu. Just try verrilai when you feel bloated tummy.

Deepavali is about fire works and it is in most of the country in different form. I live in UK. Here same time guy fox day and that day children fire fireworks.

We have navarathiri. Western countries has “Halloween”. Both occassion children dressed up. We give sundal. Here they get sweets.

Our culture has spolied as unnecessary “trading ” has come in our hinduism. In addition, present culture just chasing money and forget about moral and responsibilities. When every one of us understand and do our duties and take responsibility to our action then that is our Hinduism. Thats what it simply mentioned in Bhagavagita.

Sorry just few of my thoughts and as I am typing very fast due to lack of time, there may be mistakes.

    Hi,

When I read your blog I thought I share the following information:

Shiva’s temples denotes our body parts. The Sthalangal points that:

    Thirukkayilai (Kailash) – (Head)

    Thirukkedharam (kedarnath) – (Forehead)

    Kasi – (Eyebrow)

    Thriyambakam (triambekeshwar) – (Eye)

    ThiruKalasthiri -(Throat)

    Omkaram (omkareswar) – (Right Hand)

    Beemasankaram (Beemshankar)- (Left Hand)

    Ujjaini – (Chest)

    Chidhambaram –
    (Heart)

    Thiruvanamalai -(stomach)

    Thiruvanaikaval -(kidney)

    Thiruvaroor -(mooladharam)
When I read your post I tried few more places latitude:

Lord Siva Temples in India on almost same Longitude

    Kedarnath – Kedarnath Temple (30.7352° N, 79.0669)
Kaleshwaram – Kaleshwara Mukteeshwara swamy Temple (18.8110, 79.9067)
    Srikalahati – Srikalahasti Temple (13.749802, 79.698410)

    Thirukuvalai Temple (10.63.21, 79.72)

Maybe other SHiva temples too! Not sure! There are books about sacred geometry. It seems Vastu is based on this geometry. All these are calculated sacred geometry. Noyt just our temple buildings but all over the world, buildings follow some kind of sacred geometry it seems. Hope this helps for your research.

    Kind Regards

Temples seem to be aligned more or less towards Mount Kailash. Lord Shiva’s residence.

Good ancient knowledge, there is so much to learn yet from Hinduism.

There have been some messages on some temples being on the same straight lines, and how surprising that is, and how great our ancestors are in building temples like this, and the like. Here are some facts for you to think for yourself –
There are over 100,000 temples in South India alone!
There are well over 200,000 temples in whole of India!
That means there are more than
    – 40,000 temples in every degree of longitude!
    – 650 temples in every minute of longitude!
    – 11 temples in every second of longitude!
Now, do you want to appreciate the message that some 3 temples are in in the same longitude by some morons?
Pass this message to educate people and stop exploits in the name of religion.

Very interesting – Can you guess what is common between all these prominent temples.

        1. Kedarnath
        2. Kalahashti
        3. Ekambaranatha- Kanchi
        4. Thiruvanamalai
        5. Thiruvanaikaval
        6. Chidambaram Nataraja
        7. Rameshwaram
        8. Kaleshwaram N-India

If your answer is they all are Shiva temples, you are only partially correct.

It is actually the longitude in which these temples are located.

They all are located in 79° longitude.
What is surprising and awesome is that how the architects of these temples many hundreds of kilometers apart came up with these precise locations without GPS or any such gizmo like that.
        Wow..

        1. Kedarnath 79.0669°
        2. Kalahashti 79.7037°
        3. Ekambaranatha- Kanchi 79.7036°
        4. Thiruvanamalai 79.0747°
        5. Thiruvanaikaval 78.7108
        6. Chidambaram Nataraja 79.6954°
        7. Rameshwaram 79.3129°
        8. Kaleshwaram N-India 79.9067°

See the picture — all are in a straight line

The TN East coast itself is aligned north south and parallel to the longitude line and closer to 79 E. And any temple or mosque in this coast will be closer 79 E longitude. One should remember 1 deg longitude means 118 km on ground and you find most of the temples above fall within the margins + _ 0.5 deg which translates to more than + _ 50 km on ground. See from this angle and you will understand the coincidence better. Yes Vastu played a part in ancient wisdom.

  7. this is not surprising at all. Longitudes and latitudes have been there in some form or fashion even before Christ. And the way they found them was by using stars. Sailors have been using this technique for ages to navigate. So its not a mystery how the builders of these temples figured it out. Yes, they did have discipline those days (unlike our municipalities of today) so if the king told them to build temples with some consistency they sticked to it. They must have seen a constellation and followed the position of all Gopuras everywhere. This proves that they did follow vaastu whether good or bad. But definitely no mystery. And the distances of 600Kms is peanuts when you follow stars to draw a straight line:)

The straightness of the temple gopuras for the two temples of Rameshwaram and Virudhachalam is obvious. Any two points are always in a straight line.

Since obviously Rameswaram was the first sacred place, all kings might have thought of building temples along straight line of Rameswaram. This is obvious because you always want all the idols of God to be in a straight line as much as you can. (We never stand at an angle and look at God. We stand straight in front of the idol of God.). So, wherever possible they did that. If its not possible due to rivers or lakes in between, they just deviated a bit.

Even Badrinath is at 79.49° and Kedarnath at 79.04°

BTW, this is also true of not just Hindu temples but also famous Muslim places of worship.

Mecca : 21°25′N 39°49′E and Medina : 24°28′N 39°36′E are almost on the same longitude. And they are also around 500 kms apart.

    Hi Sir ,

I’m very much interested in this blog. I think there is very much significance and science behind the creation of five stalas. I did the same research and found the three stalas are in same longitudes which is amazing. I think the ancient Hinduism had lot of science behind it but neither got into our generation so far. I don’t know why they were hidden and the hidden truths/puzzles are always exciting to find out. I was wondering the five elements of Gods which are Air, water, space, land and fire.

    1. I can relate Water to Jambukeshwarar Temple. Jambu Lingam present in Kaveri river bed and it is really under sea level and it denotes water . Jambukeshwarar Temple, Thiruvanaikaval
    2. I can relate Fire to Arunachaleswara Temple. It is near a volcano.
    3. Regarding other three places I could not come to a conclusion.

Also reviewing the Space definition of Aagaya Lingam in Chidambaram Temple, I see the posture of Thillai Natarajar similar to a man or woman living in space. The hair is flown away and I could correlate the Nadarajar’s pose where hair is flying to a picture Sunita Williams’s hair flying in Space station.
It is really astonishing to me how the ancient people realised the anandha thandavam pose and space as element and encraved this mysterious puzzle of Linga as Space element. Any insightts are appreciated.
