While people have been talking of action against Rajapakshe and Sri Lanka for the Genocide of the Tamils in Sri Lanka, Si Lanka has been going about the business of killing the Tamils and halting the reconstruction programme in the Eastern part of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka cleverly played the East and North divide of Sri Lanka and Muslims and People working in Estates to ensure that the Tamils remain undivided.

As its wont, The Tamils succumbed to it and they engaged in internecine war among themselves.

Now the World, including the UN is being jolted by the proposed release of the Documentary ‘No Fire  Zone’, documentary unveiling the Genocide  of the Tamils, the cold-blooded murder of LTTE Chief’s son 12-year-old  Balachandran Prabhakaran, Sri Lanka,on the sly is going about the job of killing the Tamils in the Eastern Part of Sri Lanka,

Tamil net has produced a report on this.

Sinhala militarisation, genocide in East goes unnoticed, unaccounted
[TamilNet, Sunday, 17 February 2013, 10:51 GMT]In the name of a Sinhala-titled programme ‘Divineguma,’ Colombo intensively spearheads structural genocide of Eezham Tamils in the East. It has now gone to the extent of mushrooming Sinhala military camps and settlements running grocery shops and restaurants to the public. The only major construction activity in the East is the construction of Sinhala military camps. By talking only of the North and leaving out the East, the visiting foreign dignitaries buttressing State in the island systematically obscure what is happening in the East and imply that the annihilation of the nation of Eezham Tamils in the East is ‘normal and acceptable’. The line of subversion started when Mr. Robert Blake was the US ambassador in Colombo after the SL military capture of the East from the LTTE, and the line was later taken up by the Indians, political activists in the East said

.Failure to internationally highlight and fight against what is happening in the East would first reflect in Vanni as what is happening there now and would eventually result in the annihilation of the Tamil nation in Jaffna itself, the activists in the East cited.

The Tamil–Muslim discourse in the East has adversely affected the entire liberation question of the Tamil-speaking people in the island in the past and both the communities especially in the East have to keep that in mind in their deliberations, the activists said, adding that only a secular an independent State for the Tamil speakers in the island would ensure the life of self respect to all of them in the island.

Meanwhile, even retail trade in the Ampaa’rai district has been taken over by the occupying Sinhala military, political sources said.

Two major SL military camps have been created at Naavithan-ve’li and Anna-malai in Ampaa’rai district, where the SL military is now running grocery shops and restaurants to the public.

At Annamalai, a building belonging to the irrigation department located amidst schools, hospital and other SL government departments, has been taken over by the SL military for its camp within the last one and a half months. The building was earlier occupied by the STF.

Similarly, an extensive Sinhala military camp and training ground are in the making at a land that was earlier allocated for the construction of a broadcasting station for the Ampaa’rai district.

Many other SL military camps are now being constructed at places such as the locality of the old hospital at Periya-neelaava’nai, Beach Road at Kalmunai, Thiruk-koayil, Aalaiyadi-vempu and at the tourist locality at Ullai.

The camps terrorise especially the Tamil villages. While many Tamil villages erased out by the SL military during the war are yet to be resettled, Colombo is interested only in constructing military camps.

Tamil politicians cited the examples of the villages at Kagnchi-kudichchaan-aa’ru and at Thangka-vealaayutha-puram.

The politicians accused that Tamil areas are deliberately neglected in any development activity and Tamil politicians are never consulted on anything.

They accused the Muslim polity in Ampaa’rai for blocking development of Tamil villages and for following a policy of land grab, marginalisation of Tamil polity and complete annihilation of the presence of Tamils in the district, in collaboration with the occupying Sinhala military.’

  2. The truth cannot be far from this. I want to ask this question from this writer.
Have u ever been to the East of Sri Lanka? Especially after the war?
I am not a MR supporter but a strong critic of him, but no one can deny the infrastructure development that is going on SL and especially in East. It was the eastern province that has experienced massive developments whether in infrastructure and industry. The longest bridge in SL was built in East even before the war ended. Many factories have come up in East, many hotels and restaurants developing tourism in East helping the local people in providing jobs. If u care even to do a google search instead of posting utterly false tiger propaganda it would be good.
The allegation that East has not undergone any development is FALSE and can be easily proved wrong.
    About Muslims,
I see u have attempted several times to drag muslims in a tamil’s issue. I have to tell u this, muslims are NOT tamils because they have a different ethnicity. Their ethnicity is Moor. No matter how much u try to make them Tamil, they remain and have the identity as a moor. In population consensus muslims give their ethnicity as Moors. Also Moor people remain biologically connected to Sinhala and Tamil people as their founding fathers who came from Arabia married local women, but still they are a different ethnicity, much like the Burghers.
Sinhalese need not create any wedge between tamils and muslims. There have always been problems between them largely due to LTTE, which u people have supported.
    1. It was the LTTE who did ethnic cleansing of muslims from North without any hindrance from any Tamil.
    2. The LTTE continuously killed Muslim people in the east which later on led the SLG to form Muslim home guards to protect muslim civilians.
    3. The LTTE killed the muslims in a most barbaric manner even painting pictures of pigs on dead muslims’ bodies.
    4. It was the LTTE that killed muslims while they were praying at mosques in Kattankudy.
    5. The LTTE chased muslim farmers and gave their agricultural land to Tamil famers who were supportive of them. That was the beginning of a land based dispute among tamil and muslims in east.
    6. The same way LTTE chased and troubled muslim fishermen in Mannar. There was a recent fight between tamil and muslim groups because the Tamil groups were reluctant to leave the fishing areas of muslims but remained their harming their livelihood. The tamils were supported by the Mannar bishop because he wanted to chase the muslims away letting the tamil catholics have the fishing areas.
These are the reasons why Muslims and Tamils have problems and it is not because of any Sinhalese. It was the racist barbaric LTTE supported by racist tamil politicians that created the wedge. Got it?
The plantation tamils are RECENT immigrants brought by British as labour living among the Sinhalese in Sinhala area. So I hardly see how they have a moral right to ask for a separate country here. Also the plantation tamils were constantly humiliated and troubled by the lankan tamils because of caste issues. Also the leader of plantation tamils Thondaman was a tamil who was AGAINST the division of the country. Even today lankan tamils look down upon low caste indian origin tamils. Also the problems of the plantation tamils and the lankan tamils were different. A segment of plantation tamils were not given the citizenship of SL but latter on they got it. They are a poor segment of lankan society now being improved due to policies and efforts of lankan government.
Do u now understand y plantation tamils didn’t go with the lankan tamils? Don’t spread lies about things u don’t know.
    Genocide
There never was/is genocide of tamils in SL. The civilian excess in the last war has been largely exaggerated with NO substantial evidence. The civilians of the conflict zones did come to SL military side and that numbered 350 000. In a genocide that won’t happen. Tamils largely live more than 60% among Sinhalese in Sinhala majority areas. They do their daily activities, education, doing jobs, businesses largely unhindered. In a genocide that won’t happen. The status of living of Colombo tamils are better than that live in tamil nadu. Not sure? Come and see.
About military camps, SL has all the rights to have military camps in any part of SL. No one can question it. East is a sensitive area for SL. There was a war 3 years back. So no one can accept a total removal of military camps in east, especially given the separatist elements are active around the globe and especially TN.
And my appeal to u is talk about things u actually know without spreading lies and propaganda. Go to SL and look for urself. Gud luck
