Gayatri Mantra 24 Powers Colors One For Each Syllable


The Gayatri Mantra has,

24 Syllables,

24 Rishis,

24 Meters, Chandas,though  Gayatri itself is a Chandas, and

24 Devatas, Presiding Deities,

That is One for Each Syllable.

Gayatri is vibration, sound.

As science confirms energy is convertible.

Each Syllable of Gayatri is a Vibration and as a whole the Gayatri produces a Vibration in addition to vibration corresponding to Each Syllable.

The Vibration of Gayatri produces Hues(colors) for each Syllable.

Here is the List of the the name of the powers released by each syllable of Gayatri and the corresponding colors.

I shall be writing in detail on each of these.

Twenty Four Meters for Gayatri One For Each Syllable.

Every letter of 24 of Gayatri has one Rishi , in all twenty four Rishis for twenry four Syllables.

Now Gayatri , a meter by itself has twenty four Meters.


The Gayatri Mantra, the Mother of all Mantras explained in Hindu Texts is the ultimate mantra and is called Maha Mantra.

One can understand the significance of the Mantra by the following statement.

‘Gayatri Chadasam Mata, Gayatri is thr Mother of all meters, Chandas

Mantras are not mere letters.

They represent vibrations and as such they are to be heard and learnt and not by writing/reading.

This applies to all Hindu scriptures right from the Vedas.

The sounds are captured in Syllables and Mantras have never been written as a poem or as Prose.

Individual Syllables are locked mystically and together they form a Mantra.

Placement of the syllable results in delivering different results.

Mantras were grasped from Ether by the Rishis, Seers and were released by them for the welfare of Mankind.

Each Mantra has a Rishi, Devata and Athi Devata.

And each mantra has to be chanted in a specific meter called Chandas.

The speciality of Gayatri. thpugh it is a Mantra. It is a Chandas, that is Meter!

The avahana, the welcome and seating of the Gayatri Mantra is,

Nisruth Gayatri Chandah”

It is clearly stated that the Meter of Gayatri, the way it is ti be chanted is the Gayatri meter.

Meter for Meter, Chandas for Chandas!

Every letter of 24 of Gayatri has one Rishi , in all twenty four Rishis for twenry four Syllables.

Now Gayatri , a meter by itself has twenty four Meters.

It can be intoned in twenty four meters, a rarity for A Mantra as a Mantra can be recited only in on meter.

Each syllable Gayatri has one chandas, that is the essence of the specific Meter.

One can chant in this way.

The other method is to chant Gayatri in any of the 24 Chandas.

Each Recitation has a different effect .

Twenty Four Rishis Of Gayatri One For Each Syllable

Now, who are the Rishis of the Gayatri Mantra and the Chief Rishi who released the Gayatri Mantra?

The Rishi who revealed the Gayatri Mantra is Sage Visvamitra.

The Rishis, according the Nyasa we recite for the Gaytri are seven in number..

They are,

Bhrigu,

Now, who are the Rishis of the Gayatri Mantra and the Chief Rishi who released the Gayatri Mantra?

It may be noted that one Rishi seems to have been assigned to One tone(for one syllable)

And Agastya seem to find a place a well.

There is Kausika, apart from Viswamitra.

Viswamitra was known as Kausika when he was a King.

I am checking on this Kausika as I feel he is another Rishi.

Armour of Gods Kavacha Nyasas

Eye, apart from seeing , also forms judgement based on the act of seeing, it acquires knowledge of what is seen.

Whether it is a Right/wrong Knowledge , correct or incorrect is a different matter.

In this function of acquiring Knowledge eyes is a Gyanendriya( Organ of Knowledge)

Mantras being the sounds grasped from Ether by Seers, are sacred and our organs should e purified and protected.


In Hinduism,  Hymns  addressed to Gods/Goddesses are numerous.

These Hymns are classified thus.

Stotras, addressed by a Devotee, praising the  God by perfect attributes and requesting grant of Relief/ Boons,

Slokas or verses composed by great writers of epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata, or by great poets like Kalidasa.

These slokas form a part of the narrative where the Gods are praised.

Having been revealed/written by inspiration and impelled by creative urge these slokas are powerful and they can be recited.

Then one has Parayana and Pooja.

These two are the processes through which the Slokas and stotras are recited and one has to follow laid down procedures.

Poojas are performed daily and there are standard procedures.

Lalitha Devi

Another is Japa when a specific` Mantra, initiated  by a Guru is chanted.

Parayana is the recital of verses from the Puranas, like the Vishnu stuthi by Prahaladha or the Vishnu Sahasranama from Mahabharatha.

These recitals follow some rules, like the one from Ramayana Sundarakanda.

Then we have the Veda Mantras like the Five Sukthas, Purusha Suktham, Narayana Suktham,Vishnu Sukhtham,Sri Suktham and Durga Suktham and of course the SriRudram.

Excepting for  Parayanas and daily Poojas, protection is necessary, though procedures for daily Poojas and Parayana are available.

For reciting specific  Mantras, Veda Sukthas, Sri Rudram,Lalitha and Vishnu Sahasranama one has to take adequate protection for the Limbs, Anga and for organs of action.

There are two functions for any sense organ.

Eye has the function or act of seeing, this is called Karma function and in this aspect eye is a Karmendriya.(Organ of action)

Eye, apart from seeing , also forms judgement based on the act of seeing, it acquires knowledge of what is seen.

Whether it is a Right/wrong Knowledge , correct or incorrect is a different matter.

In this function of acquiring Knowledge eyes is a Gyanendriya( Organ of Knowledge)

Mantras being the sounds grasped from Ether by Seers, are sacred and our organs should  e purified and protected.

-Purified from its impurities and protected from forces that are inimical to our welfare both spiritual.

This is the reason why Anganyasa and Karanyasa are prescribed for these Mantras.

And these form an Armour .

This is the Armour of Gods

In addition to this or in some cases, in place of these, are the Bandhanas  are prescribed , for example in Vishnu Sahasranama ,Lalitha Sahasranama.

These are stated before the Dhyana Slokas.

These Mantras also contain details of the Rishi who grasped the mantra, , the Devatha of the mantra, the meter in which the Prayer is to be chanted

Mantra For Paralysis Recovery Epilepsy

The patient may recite these Mantras, if they can.

If not, close blood relations may recite.


Some diseases relating to Brain are difficult to cure and they can be contained.

So are most of Nervous disorders.

I am providing mantras to manage  Paralysis and  help in convalescence.

Recite Subrahmanya Bhujangam daily for 45 Days or total recovery whichever is earlier.

Relief From Enemy Spell Subrahmanya Trisathi

*This Subrahmanya Trisathi is very powerful and may feel BODY Heat during the period in which it is chanted.

It is normal and do not worry and one need not take any medicine for this.

Ideally this Mantra is to be taken from A Guru.


Problems faced by one in this life is attributed to three factors by Hinduism.

They are Aadi Baudhigam, that which is the result of the Elements of Nature, Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ehter.

The second is Aadhi Deivagam, that which befalls in the absence of Divine Grace.

The third is Adyatmikam,which is the result of one’s actions.

Under this come most of our ills both physical and mental.

One such problem is the issue faced by the ill Will of one’s enemies.

Nobody will harm others unless they are wronged.

But we do not admit it.

There are Mantras to ward off the effects of enemies ill Will.

They are on Devi, Kaala Bhairava, Ganesha, Sudarshana , Hanuman and Subrahmanya.

I am posting the Subrahmanya Trisathi to ward off enemies’ machinations.

There are Mantras that will destroy the enemy.

I will not be posting them as  creating problem for others will recoil on us either in this Life or later.

Why Many Mantras For Same Problem

The Vibrations must suit the vibrations of the individual.
For instance my Family Deity is Subrahmanya, Palani Dhandayuthapani.
But one of the most powerful Mantras of Subrahmanya in Tamil, Kanda Shasti Kavacha does not suit me.


Hinduism, being a Way of Life tries to offer solutions to day to day problems , apart from enquiring into the nature of life and death.
To know the nature of life and Life one must Live.
The body is considered sacred because Life dwells in it.

Abusing body in the name of piety is not sanctioned.
The practice of undertaking penance by subjecting body to extreme rigors is rated as the lowest form of Tapas, penance.
Krishna declares it as Asura Tapas, rated lowest.
The body is to be respected.
Such is the concern for humans and life Hinduism offers solutions in the form of Slokas , Mantras and Poojas.
Each is different from the other.
One may notice that many Mantras are available for the same problem, be it removal of obstacles, success in endeavours, marriage, health issues, mental illness. …
For instance one has Asha Garuda Mantra, Varaha Kavacha, Sri Mantraraja Padham, Subrahmanya Bhujanga, Durga Suktha,Hanuman Mantras for the same issue.
Mental issues.
Why so many Mantras for the same problem?
There are two reasons.
One may have a personal deity which he adores.
The Mantra offered may not be on that Deity.
This may not deliver results.
Reason unknown.
On the other hand Mantras devoted to other Deities might deliver.
Second reason is that Mantras are sounds grasped from Ether by Rishis.
And Mantras being vibrations , one Mantra might suit one, but not others.
The Vibrations must suit the vibrations of the individual.
For instance my Family Deity is Subrahmanya, Palani Dhandayuthapani.
But one of the most powerful Mantras of Subrahmanya in Tamil, Kanda Shasti Kavacha does not suit me.
Instead of providing relief I get more problems.
But the other Mantras , either in Tamil or Sanskrit on Subrahmanya grants me relief.
I do not know the reason.
So I avoid Kanda Shasthi Kavacha and recite other Subrahmanya Mantras.
This peculiar aspect of the power of Mantras is the reason for the Sastras to declare that Mantra has to be initiated by Guru properly.
A GURU feels individual vibrations and offers a suitable mantra.
A real Guru does not offer a standard Mantra for all his disciples.
