Whenever pakistan faces international pressure or internal strife,it resorts to War with India on some pretext or other as a diversionary tactic.
That is the only way the Army can hold its sway in Pakistan.
Remember , Bangladesh war, when international pressure was on Pakistan for Genocide in East Pakistan(then) and the misadventure in Kargill when Pakistan faced political instability and Musharaff needed a plat form to seize power.
Now Pakistan is facing international wrath and humiliation in the wake of Osama killing and assertion by US that it will no hesitate to use the same methods as killing Osama if it had sufficient reasons.
Better for India to be prepared for aggression by Pakistan.
