Crop Circles began to surprise many since there first appearance during the 1970′s near Stonehenge, the prehistoric monument in the English county of Wiltshire. More than 10 200 crop circles appeared in the last third of the 20th century and more than 90% of those were located in southern England. According to a study approximately fifty percent of all circles found in the UK in 2003 were located within a 15 km (9.3 miles) radius of Avebury. So why is that and why England ?
