Prisons Of The World,Photo Essay

Here are some of  the Infamous prisons of the World.

La Sante Prison is home to international terrorist Carlos the Jackal and previously housed felled Panamanian Dictator Manuel Noriega before he was extradited to Panama to stand trial for human rights violations. A study by France’s National Institute of Demographics and Prison Administration found that France had the highest prison suicide rate in the EU. The 23-hour-a-day lockdown and 100 degree in cell heat may contribute to why so many prisoners opt to end their lives at La Sante.

Gldani Prison in the former Soviet republic of Georgia came under scrutiny when a video that surfaced on September 18, 2012, appeared to show the prison warden and a slew of guards repeatedly torturing and sexual assaulting multiple inmates (this link is NOT graphic). The guard responsible for leaking the videos, Vladimir Bedukadze, said he had witnessed similar atrocities occurring daily since 2005. Interior Minister Bacho Akhalaia has resigned amid the abuse scandal. The issue has become extremely political as Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili is up for re-election on October 1 against the Georgian Dream party backed by billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili. Formerly known as Angola Prison, Louisiana State Penitentiary is the largest maximum-security prison in the United States, housing 5,108 prisoners. Angola is a farm prison where inmates work all year round and participate in an annual rodeo. The prison has been accused of imposing cruel and unusal degrees of punishment upon (among others) prisoners Herman Wallace and Albert Woodfox, who have been in solitary confinement for 40 years (a world record) after being convicted of murdering a prison guard in 1972, despite meager evidence. Petak Island Prison, Russia In 2004 the Telegraph interviewed Valery and Oleg, cellmates at Petak Island Prison (number OE-256/5), located in the middle of a lake deep in remotest Russia. Petak is the most isolated prison in Russia. Both men had been convicted of brutal murders and, instead of life sentences, were sent to Petak Island to see if they would survive 25-year sentences. Prisoners spend 22 hours a day in cells with their cell mate and pace in an outdoor cage during their yard time. Parcels and visitors are allowed twice a year. Photo: Maxim Marmur/Getty Images

ADX Florence, Colorado United States Penitentiary, Administrative Maximum Facility in Florence, Colorado, is the federal government’s premier super-max prison. Inmates are held in their cells for 23 hours a day. They have no interaction with other prisoners and limited interaction with guards. Inmates never spend more than one hour of every 24 outdoors, and no natural light ever reaches their cells. The light deprivation is meant to mentally break inmates. In a 60 Minutes interview, former Warden Robert Hood described ADX Florence as, “A clean version of hell.” Photo: AFP/ Stringer

Pelican Bay State Prison, California Pelican Bay State Prison is located at the Northwesternmost point of California in Crescent City. It is under fire for isolating prisoners in secure housing units (solitary confinement for misbehavers) giving them no more than a pinky sized hole of contact with the outside world for 23 hours a day. The lone hour in the exercise yard, a cement box with 20-foot tall walls, offers a view of the sky—through the bars. Prisoners have gone on hunger strikes to protest the conditions in the prisons. Coca Cola Causes Abortion?

I read a Post where it mentioned that Coca Cola is being used to cause abortion.

Though I have posted about the ill-health that might be caused by Co co Coal I never imagined this is possible.

I searched and found some interesting information .

That this information might be true indeed and women use this as a form of self-induced abortion.

But this information is subject to proof.

Coco Cola cases

Coco Cola cases

‘There are a number of anecdotally recorded and disseminated methods of performing a self-induced abortion. Many of the following methods present significant danger (see below) to the life orhealth of the woman:

  • physical exertion designed to bring about a miscarriage
  • abdominal massage
  • receiving punches, kicks, or other blows to the abdominal area
  • bellyflopping onto a hard surface
  • attempted removal of the fetus with a coat-hanger or similar device inserted into the uterus through the cervix[4] (the historical use of this method has led to instances of its use as a symbol against the pro-life movement, illustrating dangers of barring state-condoned abortion)[5]
  • attempted piercing of the fetus with a knitting needle or similar device inserted into the uterus through the cervix[4]
  • suction through the insertion of a rubber tube into the uterus via the cervix
  • ingesting abortifacients, high quantities of vitamin CPennyroyal or other substances believed to induce miscarriage[6]
  • douching with substances believed to induce miscarriage (beginning in the 1960s, many women used Coca Cola for this purpose, although its utility is at best dubious)
  • vaginal pessaries
  • yoga
  • acupuncture at points linked to miscarriage
  • hypothermia

In a letter to the New York Times, gynecologist Waldo L. Fielding wrote:

The familiar symbol of illegal abortion is the infamous “coat hanger” — which may be the symbol, but is in no way a myth. In my years in New York, several women arrived with a hanger still in place. Whoever put it in — perhaps the patient herself — found it trapped in the cervix and could not remove it.

However, not simply coat hangers were used.
Almost any implement you can imagine had been and was used to start an abortion — darning needles, crochet hooks, cut-glass salt shakers, soda bottles, sometimes intact, sometimes with the top broken off.[4]

‘Yes. One 12 oz oca Cola is all it takes to end a human life. Many women when late try to end their pregnancy, in poor countries, and over a period of time, they’ve worked out the best way to do it.

All they need is a 12 oz bottle of Coca Cola. This they boil for fifteen minutes. Then they leave it out in the midday sun from morning til afternoon.

This must do something to alter the chemical composition, because that alone, when drunk, can be fully effective to cause an abortion. They only add headache pills to beef up the solution, and whack, the pregnancy’s over. It works in about half of cases, my partner assures me. Her friends have used it successfully.

What chemicals are there inside Coca Cola which achieves this outcome, I wonder?

Another report says that a metal coin left in Coca Cola for a week will dissolve into the liquid. You put an egg in Coca Cola and the shell disappears.’

Man Jailed For Laughing Aloud At Home

I do not know whether to laugh it off or look glum.

Story from Reuters.

Business Woman laughing Aloud.

Business Woman laughing Aloud.

(Reuters) – A man from Long Island, New York, is facing up to 30 days in jail and a $500 fine after a neighbor complained to police he was laughing too loudly, his lawyer said on Wednesday.

Police issued Robert Schiavelli, 41, two tickets for disturbing the peace for laughing out the window of his home in Rockville Centre on Long Island at about 6 p.m. on February 12 and February 13, his lawyer said.

Schiavelli said the neighbor regularly mocks his disability, and the best response to those taunts is laughter.

“He just ridicules me all the time and the only thing I can come up with is laughing,” Schiavelli said in a telephone interview.

His lawyer, Andrew Campanelli, said his client has frequent seizures as a result of neurological impairments but denied his laugh is loud or boisterous.

“He’s like a big teddy bear, he’s got a low laugh,” Campanelli said.

Schiavelli lives with his mother, Suzanne Schiavelli, who said in an interview on Wednesday that he had a “fairly loud” laugh.

“I think it’s infectious. It’s cute,” she said. “When my husband died, we said to ourselves, ‘We’re going to make sure to laugh every day and make the most of life.’”

Porn Watching Washington DC No: 1

Kerala had the dubious distinction of  being n o; 1 in Watching  Porn in India and pakistan No;1 in the World some time back.

USA wants to be on top of every list.

Now Washington Dc has become the number 1 watching porn as revealed by Porn Hub porn site.

Infographic may be found on Buzzfeed.

Story:

NEWSER) – If the Midwest is America’s heartland, apparently Washington, DC, is a somewhat lower-positioned organ. Leading smut website PornHub.com has announced that the nation’s capital is the US leader when it comes to watching porn, as compared to the 50 states, reports the Washington Post. In fact, DC residents watch nearly twice as much pornography as any other state—an average of 14.18 videos a year per person, compared to 7.57 videos a person in Hawaii, 7.52 in Massachusetts, and 7.5 in New York. The Post suggests that perhaps one reason for the city’s ranking is that it is so single, with just a quarter of DC residents married, or about half the rate of the rest of the country. Check out an infographic filled with other porn-viewing stats at BuzzFeed.

Realted:

The reasons cited seem to overlook the simple important reason, that Porn is titillating.

I do not see how sex education will make you not to watch porn as also a ‘Conservative Society’

Does it mean that porn watching will be less if your society is Liberal?

Please read my blogs on Sex.

By the way, if Kerala is ‘God‘s own Country’ then what about others? God’s rented Countries? or Devil’s own Countries?

Muslims Discovered America

There have been claims and counter claims on who discovered America.

Vespucci,Columbus,Phoenicians , Egyptians ….

Now comes the weirdest!

Muslims discovered America.

This assertion is being viewed as an attempt by the Muslim group to demand immigration to US.

Story:

In a Television interview to a Saudi TV Station on Dec 27,,Nihad Awad, the co-founder of the Council on American Islamic Relations.

“Some documents and accounts indicate that Muslim seafarers were the first to reach the U.S., [so] the bottom line is that Islam played a part in the establishment and development of the U.S.,” Awad told the Saudi interviewer, in an interview in a New York studio.

CAIR did not respond to The Daily Caller’s request for an explanation of Awad’s comments, which were recorded by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

Awad’s group bills itself as a “civil rights” group, but five of its former employees have been jailed or deported for terror offenses, and FBI officials refuse to meet Awad because of his ties to jihadi groups, such as Hamas.

Related;

‘In the early 20th century, a pair of Smithsonian-funded archaeologists (Prof. S.A Jordonand G.E Kinkaid) claimed that they found remnants of a thriving Egyptian civilizationstowed within a series of caverns carved into the side of a remote portion of the Grand Canyon. The story of this discovery was on the front page of the April 15, 1909 edition of the Arizona Gazette.

According to the article, a series of strange caves and artifacts were found in the Marble Canyon region of the Grand Canyon. The article also describes a cross-legged idol resembling Buddha, and a large tomb filled with mummified humans. However, all of these claims are denied by official sources.
