Rape Effect Travel Warnings Interactive Advisory

In India, Travel on April 3, 2013 at 17:03

The recent assaults in Brazil and India have raised questions about those countries’ safety records. Here are the places where travelers should actually be wary.

India is included, not because of Terrorism , but of increase in the number of Rapes.

Hang your heads in Shame.

Preferable to be called a Country of Terrorism than of Rapists.

Story:

Protest Against Rape.

Protest Against Rape.

It’s been an alarming past few weeks for fans of international travel.

In March, a Swiss woman was gang-raped while she was camped out in a forest with her husband after a day of biking around the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. And on Monday, an American tourist was raped by three men over the course of six hours while aboard a public van near the seaside resort town of Copacabana .

The incidents have already taken their public-relations toll. The Brazil rape is the latest evidence that the country has a growing sexual assault problem — reports of rapes there have risen 150 percent since 2009 – and raises questions about Brazil’s readiness for the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games.

And in a new survey of 1,200 tour operations across India, the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India found that the number of inbound tourists to the country has dropped 25 percent since December, while the influx of female travelers is down 35 percent.

That’s not surprising, since research shows that violence and other upheavaltends to scare away tourists.

Man Mohan Power Center,Sonia Without Power?

In India on March 27, 2013 at 11:14

Shooting down in one’s mouth is art.

Digvijay Singh has perfected this .

Two power centres model has not worked well: Digvijay Singh

Who else can say that there are two power centers and it does not work!

Sonia Gandhi and Man Mohan Singh,Cartoon.

Sonia Gandhi and Man Mohan Singh,Cartoon.

“Personally, I feel this model hasn’t worked very well. Because, I feel there should not be two power centres and I think whoever is the PM must have the authority to function,” the Congress general secretary said in a TV interview.”

He probably means that Man Mohan  Singh has the power and no authority and Sonia Gandhi with Authority without power.

One tends to agree with him excepting the last bit about Sonia with out Power.

With Digvijay Singh around, Congress need not look for an Opposition.

Story:

While Singh clarified that Sonia had never interfered in government functioning during the two UPA stints, his comment marked the first frank assessment of the split leadership of government and party post-2004.

The former Madhya Pradesh chief minister has often been a critic of the government’s policies and his remarks can be seen as a less than flattering assessment of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s stewardship.

The stinging analysis of the UPA experiment came in the context of Singh strongly rebuffing suggestions that Rahul was reluctant to take up the top job and a reiteration of the belief that the Congress president should also be the PM when the party is in power.

Media reports earlier this month quoted Rahul as telling party MPs that he did not want to become the PM and was instead keen on focusing on organizational revival.

While reinforcing apprehensions in some party quarters that he continued to be a reluctant leader despite his elevation at Jaipur, the statement was read by some to mean that he could repeat the experiment put in place by mother and Congress chief Sonia.

Elders Being Killed In India

In Behavior, Family, human interest, lifestyle, relationships on March 5, 2013 at 19:08

What is more shocking is the revelation by a Field worker of an NGO  that the Elders are being killed in the Southern Districts of Tamil Nadu,India much in the manner of Infanticide where in tamil Nadu they resort to killing Female children by கள்ளிப்பால் the administering   juice of  Cactaceae.

The Elders are killed by giving them Tender coconut Water and splashing them with very cold water , this is called ‘water splashing,தண்ணி சாத்துதல்  .

Elders Abuse

Elders Abuse

The other method seems to be  by administering poison injection!

Madurai, the Temple Town of India and Kanyakumari District have this dubious distinction with Cuddalore.

Having had a look at the Statistics, we might look at the problem

The problem as enumerated by the Elders.

The problem of Solitude.

One of the main causes for depression among the elderly is that their children do not spend much time with them even if they happen to live in with them.

Another grouse is that children have left for abroad to pursue their careers.

As one grows old whether it is your son or yourself your perspective and the equation of relationships undergo a subtle change.

Children have their own official pressure, financial commitment and they have their own wife and children to cope up with.

It is not fair to expect that the children behave and communicate with us the same way they have been with us after marriage.

Wish those who complain on these lines might ask themselves  how they have been with their parents and if their parents were to be alive, they would be leveling the same charges against them.

As to children going abroad, the children have a whole life head of them and now thy they have opportunities to earn more by going abroad, which we did not get at our time.

So it is a question of one understanding what is good for the children at the economic front.

Do not for a moment imagine that the children do not think of these problems and are selfish.

In fact my son hesitated for even applying when an opportunity was awaiting. worrying as to how to leave me and my wife alone.

I advised him that at most I might live for about 10 or 15 more years , he has a future to look forward o and that i had been taking care of myself and my wife before he was born!

As to me being old I informed him that there are so many in the World without children and even if they have, for some reason or other could not live with them, all not because of abuse.

I also told him , in the final analysis, one has come alone, lives alone and leaves alone, as a matter of fact.

I think this seems to be a practical way of looking at the problem.

Some parents are not interested to live abroad because they feel they would miss our society and Country.

If you are not prepared to make any compromises at an old age, is it fair to expect youngsters to do so?

Best is to develop an interest in something other than sentimental attachment to Family and go about doing what you love doing but were unable to during your early years.

A gentle man stated that he has Sugar, had knee problem , he has been provided with TV,Laptop ,and all other facilities, and children respect him ‘ yet says he depressed because he has been asked by the Doctors and the family not to work!

What does one say to him?

Children do not respect.

I think there is point in this.

They tend to disrespect elders even when it is not warranted.

They should remember that they would also become old one day.

As to elders, do not offer advice or opinions  and interfere in the daily running of the family.

We have been doing it for nearly 30-40 years!

Why not leave it to other and relax?

A bed-ridden 108-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her son’s friend at home in Jabalpur town when the rest of her family was out shopping on December 4. The crime was disclosed to HT on Friday by the president of the Jabalpur unit of the Mahila Congress after she took up the matter with Madhya Pradesh director general of police SK Rout in Bhopal.

The accused, Gopi Ahirwar, 45, a waiter in a hotel, lives in the same locality of Sita Pahad in Jabalpur cantonment and was a regular visitor to the victim’s home.

The victim, whose son is a daily wager, lives in the servant’s quarter of an army officer’s house. The victim’s granddaughter said, “As usual, we left the door open before leaving for the market that day as neighbours and relatives often visit our house to see my grandmother.”

Guntur One Night Stand,Asansol Wife Swapping- India Sex Survey

In Behavior, India, Sex on December 5, 2012 at 07:11

Want to be a Wife Swapper, go to Asansol, West Bengal where you will not be looked down’

More Than one partner for Sex, reach Aizawl,

To pick up one night stand, go to Guntur, AP,

Anal Sex, Kota,Rajasthan.

Surprised or Shocked?

These are the findings of a Survey by India Today.

Results of Sex Survey India by India Today/ India Today Sex Survey 2012

Some more shocker.

  • 58% of respondents in Kota detach emotions from sex
  • Wife-swapping is rampant in Asansol in West Bengal
  • Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh is obsessed about watching partners undress
  • Salem is the place where partners fake headaches the most to put off sex
  • Respondents in Kottayam (9%) have used sex enhancers during intercourse
  • 11 per cent of Ratlam (again!) respondents have done threesomes and 14% are okay with homosexuality even if it involves one’s spouse.

http://www.drishtikone.com/india-today-sex-survey-shows-small-towns-arent-so-innocent-after-all/

Couple of Points.

We seem to be obsessed with Sex.

By getting this information, which I am not sure is reliable as the details of the methodology of the Survey is not known and the fact that people do not divulge their true responses, what social cause is to be served?

Or the individual benefited?

Probably this information might help the perverts to justify their acts of depravity.

Sex is neither a sin nor is it sacred,it is just a basic instinct that Nature has in built in us to propagate the Species.

That’s all.

Is India Today desperately struggling to retain its ABC figures on Circulation?

Though I agree that Sexual perversions and other than normal sexual behavior exists, I am not sure about the veracity of the Study.

Will India ToDay stand up and explain the Methodology adopted for this survey?.

Read this as well.

‘”The 2012 India Today survey has gone into the secret world of love and lust in Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns or as it puts it “Bharat surprises India with its sexy secrets”. But India Todaysurprises no one with its choice of visuals. Small town India might be getting jiggy but our magazines are still stuck with the stock images of sex -  saris without blouses, clutched hands, scattered rose petals, a touch of lace, red high heels, an anklet, something gauzy slipping off a bare shoulder. And hardly any female faces clearly in sight. If it is there, it’s usually artfully out-of-focus in fifty shades of grey. (Actually the clearest female faces anywhere in the sex issue belong to the model in the Skore condom ads alongside the survey results.)

And they are surprised that 58% of respondents in Kota detach emotions from sex! It’s hard to have emotions when your image of sex never involves a face.

But really, just because it’s printed on paper do we need to believe that the town of Asansol, a few hours outside Kolkata, is THE place to go if you want to get into a bit of wife-swapping? Or that Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh (as opposed to anywhere else in the country) is obsessed about watching partners undress? Or that Salem is the place where partners fake headaches the most to put off sex?
