The recent WikiLeaks expose of US Embassy Cables have disclosed that AK Antony , Defense Minister of India was the one ,apart from Priya Ranjan Das Munshi, Youth Congress  Leader of the Emergency imposed Period in India,to oppose Sanjay Gandhi, the extra Constitutional Power Center at that time.

It is also credited  with  Jayalalithaa, the then Chief Minister, Tamil Nadu,India with flushing out the LTTE in the State.

These facts we know and why AK  Antony is in a prime post in the dispensation of Sonia Gandhi-enemy of enemy is my friend!

The curious fact is not these facts themselves , but who revealed this information to US Embassy officials.

“The cable quoted a private assessment given by a Times of India correspondent who covered the session to his editors. The reporter noted, “that, unlike AICC sessions earlier this year in Chandigarh and Delhi where there was heavy rush by ministers and other politicians to pay respects to Sanjay, this time an attitude of sullenness prevailed and aside from handful of hangers-on, there were few “foot kissers”.

How come this information reached the US Embassy Officials?

Rajiv Killed By LTTE.

“A bureaucrat, who held a key security portfolio at the time, told post (embassy officials) that Jayalalithaa ordered him to do ‘whatever it takes to finish off the LTTE’ in Tamil Nadu, even if it required extrajudicial killings of LTTE associates in the state,” said a dispatch sent by the then US consul general in Chennai, Andrew T Simkin. The cable further added that she is an “iron lady” and “even her fiercest critics acknowledge that Jayalalithaa’s aggressive approach went a long way towards pushing the LTTE out of Tamil Nadu”.

In this case the informer is a Senior Bureaucrat from the Government of Tamil Nadu who was handling the LTTE issue!

Media and Bureaucrats as Informers to Foreign Government?

Story:

Editor of Maharashtra Times told US diplomats that foreign minister Y B Chavan confided to him that he was hearing increasing murmurs of dissatisfaction from Congressmen at the treatment being accorded Sanjay and the disdain being displayed for traditional Congress politicians.

The cable said at one point in Youth Congress session in Guwahati, its president Ambika Sonicomplained that Congressmen sometimes “obstructed” Youth Congress work: “their fear is that if the Youth Congress workers forge ahead by dint of their work, their chairs will be threatened. We do not want their chairs.”

Soni was made the YC president after Sanjay ousted Das Munshi. The cable described Soni as “an attractive, well-educated, outspoken but intellectually weak personality who has been working in the All-India Congress Committee (AICC) bureaucracy since 1969.”

Meanwhile, in Kerala, the faction led by Antony and a large section of people were very critical of Sanjay’s growing importance. A cable from the US embassy said that their impression was that “Sanjay Gandhi is not very popular in that state”

“On the contrary, the US mission officials had written to their bosses in April 1990 that then chief minister M Karunanidhi was tilting towards the LTTE. The cable sent almost a year before his government was dismissed, said his pro-LTTE stand was generating widespread controversy and dismay in Tamil Nadu, particularly in the light of his strained relations with the Tigers in the past.

He was burning bridges with Delhi because of his hardliner pro-Tamil Eelam stand, the cable said and added that it may be at significant political cost. The US mission also raised suspicion as to whether Karunanidhi had put up with the LTTE activities in Tamil Nadu out of fear for the terrorist group.

One should not discount the role of the government of India in supporting the LTTE. It should not have permitted the LTTE to operate from Indian soil, said G Parthasarathy, former diplomat, who was in Rajiv Gandhi’s office from 1986 to 1989. “Karunanidhi was viciously critical of the LTTE in the past. But once he returned to power in 1989, he turned an LTTE supporter,” said Parthasarathy. His mistake was that he allowed the constitutional machinery to break down in Tamil Nadu as LTTE ran riot, he said. The 1991 electoral verdict was against the LTTE and terrorism and Jayalalithaa was just fulfilling her constitutional duty in flushing them out, Parthasarathy added.

தமிழ் ஒன்றுக்கும் பயன்படாது 

தமிழ் படித்தால் பிச்சைகூட கிடைக்காது. தமிழ் படித்து பிச்சை எடுப்பதைத் தவிர வேறு உயிர் வாழ ஒன்றுக்கும் பயன்படவில் லை என்பதோடு, அதற்காகச் செலவு செய்த காலத்தை வேறு துறையில் செலவிட்டால், வாழ்வில் பயன் ஏற்பட்டிருக்கும் என்ப தை ஏறத்தாழ 100 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பே தமிழ் கற்ற ஓர் அனு பவப் புலவர் பாடியுள்ளார்.–தந்தை பெரியார் விடுதலை (27.11.43) யில்..

தமிழின் பெயரால் பிழைப்பு 

நமது நாட்டில் வேறு வழியில் பிழைக்க முடியாதவர்கள், தமிழின் பெயரால் பிழைக்கத் துடிக்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் துடிதுடிப்புத்தான், ‘தமிழைக் காக்க வேண்டும்’; ‘தமிழுக்கு உழைப்பேன்’, ‘தமிழுக் காக உயிர் விடுவேன்’ என்பது போன்ற கூப்பாடுகள். இதில் மற்ற மக்கள் சிக்குண்டு ஏமாந்து போகக்கூடாது.-தந்தை பெரியார் விடு தலை (16.3.67)

தமிழ் படித்தால் நடைப்பிணமாய் இருக்கலாம் .

..தமிழ் மக்கள் என்னும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு தாய்ப்பால் என்னும் தமிழானது, முன்னேற்றம் என்னும் உடல் தேறுவதற்கோ, வளர் வதற்கோ பயன்பட்டு இருக்கின்றதா? பயன்படுமா? தாய்ப்பால் சிறந்தது என்பதில் தாய்ப்பாலில் சக்தியும், சத்தும் இருந்தால் தான் அது சிறந்ததாகும். இங்கு தமிழ் என்னும் தாயே சத்தமற்ற வள் என்பதோடு, நோயாளியாகவும் இருக்கும்போது அந்தப் பாலைக் குடிக்கும் பிள்ளை உருப்படியாக முடியுமா? தாய்க்கு நல்ல உணவு இருந்தால்தானே அவளுக்கு பாலும் ஊறும்; அந்தப் பாலுக்கும் சக்தி இருக்கும். தமிழில் நல்ல உணவு எங்கே இருக்கிறது?

இப்படிப்பட்ட இந்தத் தாய்ப்பாலைக் குடித்து வளர்ந்த பிள்ளைகள், இந்நாட்டிலேயே நடைப்பிணமாய் இருப்பதைத் தவிர, அதுவும் மற்றவன் கை, காலில் நடப்பதைத் தவிர உழைப்புக்கு – காரிய த்துக்கு பயன்படும்படியான, தன் காலால் தாராளமாய் நடக்கும் படியான பிள்ளை – ஒற்றைப் பிள்ளை தமிழ்நாட்டில் இருக்கின் றதா என்பதை அன்பர்கள் காட்டட்டுமே – என்றுதான் பரிவோடு கேட்கிறேன்.

இன்றைய தினம்கூட மேற்கண்ட தமிழ்த் தாயின் பாலை நேரே அருந்தி வளர்ந்த பிள்ளைகள், இங்கிலீஷ் புட்டிப்பாலை அருந்தி இருப்பார்களேயானால், இந்த அன்பர்கள் உட்பட எவ்வளவோ சக்தியும், திறமையும் உடையவர்களாக ஆகி, இவர்கள் வாழ்க் கை நிலையே வேறாக, அதாவது அவர்கள் நல்ல பயன் அடைப வர்களாக ஆகி இருப்பார்கள் என்பதோடு, மற்றவர்களுக்கும் பயன்படும்படியான நல்ல உரம் உள்ள உழைப்பாளிகளாகி இருப் பார்கள் என்று உறுதியோடு கூறுகிறேன்.- தந்தை பெரியார் ‘தாய்ப் பால் பைத்தியம்’ நூலில்

பலரும் அறிந்த சொல்லைப் புறக்கணிப்பானேன்? 

சாதாரணமாகப் பிரயாணத்திற்குப் பயன்படும் ரயில், கார், லாரி, பஸ், சைக்கிள் என்ற பெயர்களை எதற்காக மாற்ற வேண்டும்? இந்தியாவில் உள்ள பல நூற்றுக்கணக்கான மொழி பேசும் மக்களும், இந்தப் பெயர்களை அப்படியேதான் பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்கிறார்கள். –தந்தை பெரியார் ‘அறிவு விருந்து’ நூலில்

தமிழில் என்ன நல்ல கருத்து உள்ளது? 

நாட்டுக்குச் சுதந்திரம் கிடைத்து இன்றைக்கு 20வது ஆண்டு நடக் கிறது. 20 ஆண்டு சுதந்திர வாய்ப்பில் தமிழ் மக்கள் அடைந்த நிலை, ‘இங்கிலீஷ் வேண்டாம்; தமிழ்வேண்டும்.’ இதுதானா? அய் யோ பைத்தியமே தமிழை (பிற மொழிகளிலிருந்து மொழி பெயர் க்கப்படாத) தமிழ் மூல நூல்களை, தனித் தமிழ் இலக்கிய நூல் களில் எதை எடுத்துக்கொண்டாலும், அவற்றிலிருந்து எழுத்து, சொல், பொருள், யாப்பு, அணி என்பதான இலக்கணப்படி அமைந் த தமிழ் ‘சுவை’ அல்லாமல் அறிவு, பகுத்தறிவு, வாழ்க் கை அறிவு, வளர்ச்சி பெறுவதற்கான ஏதாவது ஒரு சாதனத்தை சிறு கருத்தை பூதக் கண்ணாடி வைத்து தேடியாவது கண்டு பிடிக்க முடியுமா? கண்டு பிடித்துப் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறதா என்று தமிழ் அபிமானிகளை வணக்கத்தோடு கேட்கிறேன். – தந்தை பெரியார்

தொல்காப்பியன் மாபெரும் துரோகி

தொல்காப்பியன் ஆரியக்கூலி. ஆரிய தர்மத்தையே தமிழ் இலக் கணமாகச் செய்துவிட்ட மாபெரும் துரோகி. திருவள்ளுவன் அக் காலத்திற்கு ஏற்ற வகையில் ஆரியக் கருத்துக்கு ஆதரவு கொடுக்கும் வகையில், பகுத்தறிவைப் பற்றிக் கவலைப்படாமல் நீதி கூறும்வகையில் தனது மத உணர்ச்சியோடு ஏதோ கூறிச் சென்றார்.-தந்தை பெரியார் ‘தமிழும், தமிழரும்’ நூலில்

வேறு மொழி ஏற்பதால் கேடு என்ன? 

தமிழை ஒதுக்கி விடுவதால் உனக்கு நட்டம் என்ன? வேறு மொழி யை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளுவதால் உனக்குப் பாதகம் என்ன? தமிழிலி ருக்கும் பெருமை என்ன? நான் சொல்லும் ஆங்கிலத்தில் இருக்கு ம் சிறுமை என்ன? நமது நாட்டுக்கு கமால்பாட்சா ஆட்சி போன்ற ஒரு வீரனும், யோக்கியனுமான ஒருவன் ஆட்சி இல்லை என்ப தால், பல முண்டங்கள் பலவிதமாய் பேசி முடிக்கிறதே அல்லா மல், இன்று தமிழைக் காப்பாற்ற வேண்டிய அவசியம் யாருக்கு என்ன வந்தது என்று கேட்கிறேன்.- தந்தை பெரியார்

பிழைப்புக்கு ஆதாரமாய் தாய்மொழி வேஷம் 

அரசியலில் பிரவேசிக்க நேர்ந்த பல அரசியல்வாதிகள், மக்களின் மடமையை நிறுத்து அறிந்ததன் காரணமாய், அவர்களில் பலரும் தமிழை தங்கள் பிழைப்பிற்கு ஆதாரமாய்க் கொண்டு தாய் மொழிப் பற்று வேஷம் போட்டுக் கொண்டு வேட்டை ஆடுவதன் மூலம், மக்களது சிந்தித்துப் பார்க்கும் தன்மையையே பாழாக்கி விடுகிறார்கள்.- தந்தை பெரியார்

தமிழறிஞர்களுக்கும் பகுத்தறிவுக்கும் வெகுதூரம் 

தமிழ் படித்த, தமிழில் புலவர்களான வித்துவான்கள் பெரிதும் 100க்கு 99 பேருக்கு ஆங்கில வாசனையே இல்லாத வித்துவான் களாக.. தமிழ்ப் புலவராகவே வெகுகாலம் இருக்க நேர்ந்துவிட்ட தால், அவர்களுக்கும் பகுத்தறிவுக்கும் வெகுதூரம் ஏற்பட்டதோ டு, அவர்கள் உலகம் அறியாத பாமரர்களாகவே இருக்க வேண் டியவர்கள் ஆகிவிட்டார்கள். ஆகவேதான் புலவர்கள் வித்துவான் கள் என்பவர்கள் 100க்கு 90 பேர்கள்வரை இன்றைக்கும் அவர் களது வயிறு வளர்ப்பதற்கல்லாமல் மற்றெதற்கும் பயன்படுவ தற்கில்லாதவர்களாக ஆகிவிட்டார்கள்.

தமிழால் என்ன நன்மை? 

தமிழ் தோன்றிய 3000-4000 ஆண்டுகளாக இந்த நாட்டில் வாழ்ந்த தமிழினாலும், தமிழ் படித்த புலவனாலும் தமிழ் நாட்டிற்கு, தமிழ் சமுதாயத்திற்கு என்ன நன்மை? என்ன முற்போக்கு உண்டாக்கப் பட்டிருக்கிறது? இலக்கியங்களிலே, சரித்திரங்களிலே காணப் படும் எந்தப் புலவனால், எந்த வித்துவானால், எவன் உண்டாக் கிய இலக்கியங்களினால் இதுவரை தமிழனுக்கு ஏற்படுப்படுத் தப்பட்ட, ஏற்படுத்திய நன்மை என்ன என்று கேட்கிறேன்.

தமிழ் காட்டுமிராண்டி பாஷை 

இந்தத் தமிழ் மொழியானது காட்டுமிராண்டி மொழி என்று நான் ஏன் சொல்கிறேன்? எதனால் சொல்கிறேன்? என்று இன்று கோபி த்துக் கொள்ளும் யோக்கியர்கள் ஒருவர்கூட சிந்தித்துப் பேசுவதி ல்லை. ‘வாய் இருக்கிறது; எதையாவது பேசி வயிறை வளர்ப் போம்’ என்பதைத் தவிர, அறிவையோ, மானத்தையோ, ஒழுக்கத் தையோ பற்றி சிறிதுகூட சிந்திக்காமலே பேசி வருகிறார்கள்.

இப்படிப்பட்ட இவர்கள் போக்குப்படியே சிந்தித்தாலும், ‘தமிழ் மொ ழி 3000-4000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முந்தி ஏற்பட்ட மொழி’ என்பதை, தமிழின் பெருமைக்கு ஒரு சாதனமாகக் கொண்டு பேசுகிறார்கள். நானும் தமிழ் காட்டுமிராண்டி மொழி என்பதற்கு அதைத்தானே முக்கியக் காரணமாகய்ச் சொல்கிறேன். அன்று இருந்த மக்களின் நிலை என்ன? அவன் சிவனாகட்டும், அகஸ்தியனாகட்டும், பாணி யாகட்டும் மற்றும் எவன்தான் ஆகட்டும், இவன்களைப் பற்றித் தெரிந்து கொள்ள உனக்குப் புத்தியில்லாவிட்டால், நீ தமிழைப் பற்றிப் பேசும் தகுதி உடையவனவாயா?

எந்த மதத்துக்கும், எந்த ஜாதிக்கும் சலுகை கூடாது

மதங்கள் என்பவை எல்லாம் அவரவர்களுடைய தனி எண்ணமா கவும், தனி ஸ்தாபனங்களாகவுமே இருக்கும்படிச் செய்வதுடன், அரசியலில் –அரசியல் நிர்வாகத்தில் அவை எவ்வித சம்பந்தமும் குறிப்பும் பெறாமல் இருக்க வேண்டும். ஜாதிக்கென்றோ, மதத்தி ற்கென்றோ எவ்விதச் சலுகையோ உயர்வு, தாழ்வோ, அந்தஸ் தோ, அவற்றிற்காக அரசாங்கத்திலிருந்து தனிப்பட்ட முறைக ளைக் கையாளுவதோ, ஏதாவது பொருள் செலவிடுவதோ ஆகிய வை கண்டிப்பாய் இருக்கக் கூடாது.- தந்தை பெரியார் .

Even at this age he has to depend on Indian PM to comfort Tamils abroad. The atrocities by the Sri Lankan force wouldnt have happened if Tamil Nadu is a separate Country as asked by our beloved leaders Periyar and Anna. Cauvery water issue prevailed for more than 90 years and only due to Kalainger and V,PSingh the Supreme Court ordered an interim order to supply 205 TMC to Tamil Nadu. The Karnataka never obeyed the SCs order and Jaya never insisted on it(because she came from Mysore to TN in search of food and shelter)

My Reply.

Kaunanidhi need not depend on The central Government.

 

It is the Central Government which depends on Karunanidhi.

 

Have people forgotten the Statement by the DMK leaders, especially by Durai Murugan that Gopalapuram runs India?

 

If Karunanidhi wanted to pressurize the Government he could have pulled out of the Government.
He threatened to pull out when selected Ministries were not given to his children and nephew.

 

He threatened to resign when Kanimozhi was interrogated.

 

Why did he not ask his Ministers to pull out of the cabinet over The Tamils issue?

 

Now coming to the TESO Meteet. Karunanidhi first said that the meet is to discuss the problem of Eelam Tamils.

 

But after p.Chidambaram met him at his residence , the next morning Karunnidhi comes out with a clarification that  No resolution Tamil Elam will not be passed or Tamil Eelam will be discussed at the Meet.

 

 

Now on 2 August he has written in Murasoli, the official Organ of the DMK that the Meet is to discuss the action to be taken to counter the aggressive designs of China in our Borders!

 

How many tome has he condemned the Rajapakshe Government really?

 

How is it that his daughter Kanimozhi visited Si Lanka, met with Rajapakshe, accepted his gifts and posed for the photograph with him?

 

Karunanidhi will write a number of letters on Tamils , but New Delhi visit is reserved to beg Sonia Gandhi to provide Cabinet berths to Kanimozhi,Azhagiri.

 

On Cauvery Water.

Who withdrew the case  against the Karnataka Government in The Supreme court?

 

As for as Karunanidhi is concerned Cauvery Water issue is solved for he had the Assembly pass a resolution thanking him for solving the  Cauvery Water Dispute.

 

If the Sri Lankan Tamils were to think like the commenter , then they can write off not only Tamil Elam but the very right to live in Sri Lanka, by trusting Karunanidhi.

My heart bleeds and all the Tamils are aware of what I have been doing for the cause of the Tamils in Sri Lanka since I was three years old.

In fact I would have gone to Sri Lanka at that age to fight along with my brethren .

But Thanthai Periyar and Perarignar Anna  begged me not to do so as I could effectively wage a war against the Sri Lankan Government by getting my son, daughter and nephew inducted in the Central Cabinet.

Entire Tamil diaspora knows how I  went on an indefinite fast lasting for three hours between Break fast and Lunch to stop the massacre of the Tamils!

All of you know how our party’s Ministers at Delhi argued for the cause of the Tamils by remaining Silent in Cabinet Meets.

In fact my daughter Kanimozhi went to Sri Lanka wand struck a working relationship with Rajapakshe and posed for photographs with the gift received from him.

I shall continue to fight for the cause of the Tamils and I will sacrifice my Life in this endeavour as I have done so many times in the past.”

A day after Union home minister P Chidambaram met him, DMK chief MKarunanidhi on Monday said the demand for Eelam (a separate Tamil land in Sri Lanka) will not be part of the agenda at the conference of the recently revived Tamil Eelam Supporters Organisation (TESO) in Chennai on August 12.

“It’s different to have an opinion on a separate Eelam, but we don’t intend to put it up as a topic for discussion at the conference and create any confusion,” Karunanidhi told reporters. He said the conference was called to discuss various solutions to the problems faced by Tamils in the island nation and ensure a livelihood for them. The Times of India reported on Monday that the home minister conveyed to Karunanidhi the UPA government’s displeasure over the Eelam demand being included in the conference.

Dismissing the report that the Eelam issue figured in discussions with Chidambaram during their brief interaction on Sunday, Karunanidhi said, “Chidambaram met me because he was in Chennai. We did not discuss politics at all.” He sought to justify his move saying, “It is only democratic that we consult with other leaders on what they feel about a separate Eelam. We don’t intend to have any protests demanding it. As of now, the priority is to ensure safety and good living for Sri Lankan Tamils.”

Saint Andal ‘Devadasi, Illegal Child of Periyaazhvar’
