(By the way, why do people as ‘Minority community’ instead of calling them as Muslims or Christians if they are involved in unlawful activities?
Or you can call by name only the Hindus?
Now The Government is pointing out Pakistani elements for this trouble.
No doubt, Pakistan might be involved.
It is their job.
The Government is conveniently avoiding to face the issue.
The fact is there are illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, since 1971.
The Government did nothing to get them repatriated to Bangladesh.
All the Governments played the Religious card to get votes and did not take any action.
The locals resent this.
The attack in Assam is the result of this.
Now the issue of attack in the other States.
The people in other States were awaiting this opportunity.
In general, it is a fact that the people from the North East indulge in unruly behaviour, banditry and Dacoity.
There have been instances of molestation.
Now you find more people from the North East in the South, especially in Hotels as plate cleaners, servers, building labourers.
One has to see the top Restaurants in Bangalore and OMR Road In Chennai to check on this.
The Employers pay them one third of what one has to pay for the locals.
Labourers are paid Rs 100 ?Day against Rs 300 for building works.
A Restaurant pays them Rs 150′ Day against 400 for locals!
And these people work in areas where IT Professionals are concentrated.
We know their Lifestyle.
Money does not seem to matter.
When an impoverished people see people so well off , they are tempted to indulge in anti-social activity.
The issue is to be addressed by paying proper wages and help them integrate into the local population.
No use in shifting blame.
You are sitting on a Volcano
In an effort to instill confidence among the northeasterners living in Bangalore, deputy chief minister incharge of home R Ashoka himself will be leading night patrolling in the sensitive areas of the city ahead of Eid.
Neelasandra, Shivajinagar, Anepalya, Koramangala are some of the areas where large population of northeasterners are concentrated in the city. “Night patrolling is to instill confidence among them and send a message that government is with them and the people have nothing to fear about,” Ashoka told TOI on Sunday. Night patrolling by the minister is expected to continue for couple of days.
Though exodus has come down by a great extent, the state government doesn’t want to take chance as northeasterns fear that attack on them would start once Eid is over on Monday. About 30,000 people have so far reportedly fled the city.

There is constant clamour for reservation for women in all walks of Life.
India witnessed National Shame when a young girl was molested in Public in a busy locality in Guwahati,Assam.
Strangely there is a deafening silence from The Women in Power in India.
And the Chief Ministers West Bengal and Tamil Nadu,Mamata Bannerjee,Jayalalithaa.
Would the status of women improve if women were to be given more power, when they can not use their power at least in support of their Gender.

It is a shame that in the pursuit of ‘Live Coverage’ Tv Journalists are stropping to such low levels.
I am reminded of the Story by Geoffrey Archer where a News Paper Baron in his quest of Readership indulges in this type of activitiy.
The Editor of News Live has resigned for telecasting the molestationVideo.
But he is silent on the complaint of the journalist orchestrating the attack.
Is it really the Social issues they are bothered about or TRP ratings and name for the Journalist?
I reckon it is a mixture of both.
Unless people remain as human beings first, these incidents will continue.
“The Assam government on Monday informed the Centre that the molestation of a girl in Guwahati was done allegedly at the behest of a TV journalist, who appeared to have orchestrated it with the help of the main accused for making a video.
Sharing this with Union home secretary R K Singh, the state police chief Jayanto N Choudhury is learnt to have told him that theAssam Police will soon question the journalist and a cameraperson of a Guwahati-based news channel, who had video-graphed the molestation of the girl.
“If any culpability is found, they will be arrested,” a source said, referring to a report of the Assam Police to the home ministry.
Sources here said the state government has told the ministry that police was suspecting that TV journalist Gaurav Jyoti Neog might have orchestrated the molestation of the girl by instigating the mob as the prime accused Amar Jyoti Kalita, who is absconding, was reported to be his friend.”
Molestation by mob is increasing.
For the reporter it is more important to film the event than to save the girl!
Th Media’s deafening silence on the reporter’s action of Filming the incident instead of helping the victim is strange.
It is the Independent that has highlighted this issue.
If the media which is staffed by the educated(presumably)and the socially conscious is silent, how is it that Sex education is going to solve the problem, when normal education does not kindle the human quality of Compassion?
SCENES captured on film by a television journalist of a mob molesting and stripping a teenage girl in a city in north-easternIndia have triggered outrage across the country.
Many people are demanding to know why the journalist filmed the 30-minute assault, rather than trying to help the young woman.
At least four men have been arrested by police in the aftermath of the attack on a 17-year-old fashion student.
Officers said they were able to identify a number of the alleged participants from the footage that was broadcast on television and subsequently uploaded on to the internet.
The media channel has defended the actions of its staff.
The incident in the city of Guwahati has again highlighted the dangers and threats often faced by women in India, a nation where sexual harassment is often referred to by the media as ‘Eve-teasing’.
Yesterday, television channels repeatedly broadcast the footage of the beating and assault of the young woman, said to have taken place after she had been celebrating a friend’s birthday in a bar.”
I am of the opinion that the absence of swift deterrent punishment and erosion of moral values as the reason for the type of roguish behavior.
Unless we address this problem , we would be like the economists who blabber on economy where no results would be forth coming sans sound bites.
“A teenaged girl was pulled by her hair, lifted up, thrown down, beaten up, thrashed, molested, groped, slapped and stripped in full public view for 30 minutes on Monday night at a busy road near the Christian Basti area in Guwahati by a mob of around 20 men.
I am beginning to think if my family is atall safe in this country. It is hu some xpert saying lack of Sexrting to see a teenager to be treated in this manner. The video of the incident that was leaked on YouTube, shows the mob – consisting of around 20 men – beating the girl before stripping her.
Its a shameful act from the city which was known for tolerance.
