Rating Agencies ‘Rate’ for A Consideration. ABC News.
People, especially in the Finance Sector,so-called Financial Analysts and Stick Market buffs rely on Rating of Agencies.
The Government also relies too much on these Agencies’ Rating System.
When Standard & Poor‘s down graded US credit Rating, the US Policy makers were furious.

One of the executives( India) of a credit Rating Agency was fired for down grading US Rating!
These Agencies are prone to Lobby pressure and they do their bidding.
Their rating not withstanding many countries prosper-currency of Papua New Guinea emerged stronger after down grading!
No point is listening to these ratings.
I know of many companies with a good Crisil( a credit rating agency in India) rating buckle under with in a months of good rating!
The rising price of stocks are determined by a cartel and Rating by another cartel,in this case by Countries like the US.

The Better Business Bureau, one of the country’s best known consumer watchdog groups, is being accused by business owners of running a “pay for play” scheme in which A plus ratings are awarded to those who pay membership fees, and F ratings used to punish those who don’t.
To prove the point, a group of Los Angeles business owners paid $425 to the Better Business Bureau and were able to obtain an A minus grade for a non-existent company called Hamas, named after the Middle Eastern terror group.
“Right now, this rating system is really unworthy of consumer trust or confidence,” said Connecticut attorney general Richard Blumenthal in an interview to be broadcast as part of an ABC News investigation airing tonight on 20/20.
In an official demand letter sent to the national headquarters of the Better Business Bureau Thursday, Blumenthal called on the BBB to stop using its grading system, which he said was “potentially harmful and misleading” to consumers.

Facebook is no exception to this Media terrorism.
In an attempt to suppress the truth and in violation of the Syrians’ right to self expression, Facebook adminsitraiton on Friday shut down the official page of the Syrian TV.
This step was taken after a video of a press conference by Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry Spokesman Jihad Makdessi was uploaded on the page. The conference showed how the US TV channel ABC manipulated the content of their interview with President Bashar al-Assad and distorted it through editing and omission.
In response to this, Syrians on Facebook started a new page dedicated to the Syrian TV.

We have seen some outstanding work by the Media .
But some seem to be carried away, degenerating into abuse,blackmail,being uncouth, vindictive and outright pornography.
Freedom is most powerful when used with restraint and commonsense.
Conservative opposition lawmakers said the Australian Broadcasting Corporation had overstepped good taste with a scene in which actors playing Gillard and her partner Tim Mathieson cuddled naked and used the flag — with its historic ties to Britain and Australia’s Queen Elizabeth — as a sheet.
“Having sex in the prime minister’s office under the Australian flag is the last straw for me. It is sick. I’m offended and we should take a stand,” one lawmaker who could not be named told a closed door meeting of MPs, a conservative spokesman told a press briefing.
Another MP called for a rethink of taxpayer funding for the ABC, saying the program degraded the office of prime minister, currently held by center-left Labor rival Gillard, while monarchists said the use of the flag was disrespectful.
“I think a bit more discretion when using the flag is appropriate, even when you are trying to make a joke,” Australians for Constitutional Monarch head David Flint told Australian media.
