தெய்வத்தின் குரல் காஞ்சி பெரியவர் , விநாயகர்
கல்விக் கடலாக விளங்கிய காஞ்சிப் பெரியவரின் ‘ தெய்வத்தின் குரலில் இருந்து பகுதிகள் வெளியிடப்படுகின்றன .

தமிழ் நாட்டின் தனிப்பட்ட சிறப்பு எங்கு பார்த்தாலும் பிள்ளையார் கோயில்கள் இருப்பதேயாகும். “கோயில்” என்று பெயர் வைத்து விமானமும் கூரையும் போட்டுக் கட்டிடம் எழுப்ப வேண்டும் என்பதுகூட இல்லாமல், அரச மரத்தடிகளிலேகூட வானம் பார்க்க அமர்ந்திருக்கும் ஸ்வாமி நமது பிள்ளையார்.
தெருவுக்குத் தெரு ஒரு பிள்ளையார் கோயில், நதிக் கரைகளிலெல்லாம் பிள்ளையார், மரத்தடிகளில் பிள்ளையார் என்றிப்படி இந்தத் தமிழ் தேசம் முழுவதும் அவர் வேறெந்த ஸ்வாமிக்கும் இல்லாத அளவுக்கு இடம் கொண்டு அருள் பாலித்து வருகிறார். அவரைப் “பிள்ளையார்” என்றே அன்போடு கூறுவது நம் தமிழ்நாட்டுக்கே உரிய வழக்கம். சர்வலோக மாதா பிதாக்களாகிய பார்வதி பரமேசுவரர்களின் ஜேஷ்ட புத்திரர் அவர். “பிள்ளை” என்றால் அவரைத்தான் முதலில் சொல்ல வேண்டும். வெறுமே “பிள்ளை” என்று சொல்லக்கூடாது என்பதால் மரியாதையாகப் “பிள்ளையார்” என்று சொல்வது தமிழ்நாட்டுச் சிறப்பு.
“குமாரன்” என்றால் “பிள்ளை” என்றே அர்த்தம். பாரததேசம் முழுவதிலும் குமாரன், குமாரஸ்வாமி என்றால் பார்வதி பரமேசுவரர்களின் இளைய பிள்ளையாகிய சுப்பிரமணியரையே குறிப்பிடும். தமிழிலும் “குமரக் கடவுள்” என்கிறோம். ஆனால், அவரைக் “குமரனார்” என்பதில்லை: “குமரன்” என்றுதான் சொல்வார்கள். மூத்த பிள்ளைக்கே மரியாதை தோன்றப் பிள்ளையார் என்று பெயர் தந்திருக்கிறோம்.
முதல் பிள்ளை இவர்: குழந்தை ஸ்வாமி. ஆனாலும் இவரே எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் ஆதியில் இருந்தவர். பிரணவம்தான் எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் முதல். பிரணவத்திலிருந்துதான் சகல பிரவஞ்சமும் ஜீவராசிகளும் தோன்றின. அந்தப் பிரணவத்தின் ஸ்வரூபமே பிள்ளையார். அவரது ஆனைமுகம், வளைந்த தும்பிக்கை இவற்றைச் சேர்த்துப் பார்த்தால் பிரணவத்தின் வடிவமாகவே தோன்றும்.
குழந்தையாக இருந்துகொண்டே ஆதிமுதலின் தோற்றமாக இருக்கிற பிள்ளையார் குழந்தைபோல் தோன்றினாலும், பக்தர்களை ஒரேயடியாகத் கைதூக்கி உயர்த்தி விடுவதிலும் முதல்வராக இருக்கிறார். ஒளவைப் பாட்டி ஒருத்தியின் உதாரணமே போதும். ஒளவையார் பெரிய கணபதி உபாஸகி. பிரணவ ஸ்வரூபியான விநாயகரைப் புருவமத்தியில் தியானித்துக் கொண்டு, ஒளவையார் யோக சாஸ்திரம் முழுவதையும் அடக்கியதான “விநாயகர் அகவலை”ப் பாடியிருக்கிறாள். அதைப் பாராயணம் செய்தால் பரமஞானம் உண்டாகும். இந்த ஒளவையாரைப் பற்றி ஒரு கதை உண்டு. சுந்தரமூர்த்தி ஸ்வாமிகளும் சேரமான் பெருமாள் நாயனாரும் கைலாசத்துக்குப் புறப்பட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் ஒளவையாரையும் உடன் அழைத்துப் போக எண்ணினார்கள். அப்போது ஒளவை விக்நேசுவரருக்குப் பூஜை பண்ணிக் கொண்டிருந்தாள். சீக்கிரம் பூஜையை முடித்துத் தங்களுடன் கைலாசத்துக்கு வருமாறு சுந்தரமூர்த்தியும் சேரமானும் அவளை அவசரப்படுத்தி அழைத்தார்கள். அவளோ, “நீங்கள் போகிறபடி போங்கள். உங்களுக்காக நான் என் பூஜையை வேகப்படுத்த மாட்டேன். விநாயக பூஜையே எனக்குக் கைலாசம்” என்று சொல்லி விட்டாள். அவர்கள் அப்படியே கிளம்பி விட்டார்கள். ஒளவை சாங்கோபாங்கமாகப் பூஜை செய்து முடித்தாள். முடிவில் பிள்ளையார் பிரசன்னமாகி அவளை அப்படியே தம் துதிக்கையால் தூக்கி ஒரே வீச்சில் கைலாசத்தில் கொண்டு சேர்த்துவிட்டார். அவளுக்குப் பிற்பாடுதான்
சுந்தரமூர்த்தியும் சேரமான் பெருமாளும் கைலாசத்தை அடைந்தார்கள். அங்கே சேரமான் பெருமாள் திருக்கைலாய ஞான உலாவைப் பாடினார். இதை அருணகிரிநாதர் திருப்புகழில்,
ஆதரம் பயில் ஆரூரர் தோழமை
சேர்தல் கொண்டவரோடே முனாளினில்
ஆடல் வெம்பரி மீதேறி மா கயிலையிலேகி
ஆதி அந்த உலா ஆசு பாடிய
சேரர்….
என்பதில் சொல்லாமல் சொல்கிறார். “அப்படிப்பட்ட சேரர் ஆண்ட கொங்கு தேசத்தில் உள்ள பழனியில் இருக்கிற பெருமாளே” என்று பழனியாண்டவனைப் பாடுகிறார். சுந்தரரும், சேரமான் பெருமாள் நாயனாரும் கைலாசம் சேர்ந்ததற்கு இப்படி குமாரஸ்வாமியின் சம்பந்தத்தை உண்டாக்குகிறார். மூத்த குமாரரான பிள்ளையாருக்கோ ஏற்கனேவே அந்த சம்பவத்தில் சம்பந்தம் இருக்கிறது. அந்த இரண்டு பேருக்கும் முன்னதாக, ஒரு சொடக்குப் போடுகிற நாழிகைக்குள் அவர் ஒளவைப் பாட்டியைக் கைலாசத்தில் சேர்த்துவிட்டார். பெரிய அநுக்கிரகத்தை அநாயசமாகச் செய்கிற ஸ்வாமி விக்நேசுவரர்.

In Times Of Crisis’ God is Here With US.
I came across a blog which i am quoting below.
Hinduism does not blame God for our pain.
One reaps as he sows.
Then why pray?
He gives us the Strength to bounce back.
This can not be logically explained.
One can only feel it.
As one who has gone through pain in my Life, I can affirm this.
I lost eight relatives who were close to me, including my parents,close friend, wife( at my age of 28) in a span of 3 years.
I had financial and emotional difficulties as well.
It is a surprise I am alive to-day.
More to the point I am Happy.
God has given me wonderful children.
That’s proof enough of God for me.
‘So is there an all-loving all-seeing God or is it a convenient invention to salve the soul?
I have had major reason to consider that question over the past few weeks as my 12-year-old nephew, Rory Staunton, cruelly lost his life to a toxic infection in a New York hospital.
In the intensive care unit I met two pastors, both doing their best to console a frightened and exhausted family desperately concerned for their little boy.
With one I ended up discussing the philosophy of Spinoza, the Dutch philosopher, who believed that if there was a God he was abstract and uncaring.
When you see all the war, the killing, the famine, and suffering it is easy for many to agree with Spinoza.
We discussed the Sermon on the Mount, and the eight beatitudes, which are the most relevant part of the Christian theology in my experience.
Those are profound statements that truly do preach humility and compassion and revive faith in the New Testament.
Yet how has that love and mercy expressed itself?
There were two church services for Rory, one in Ireland, one in America where God’s mercy and grace were front and center.
I was assured by many that Rory had gone to a better place and that God had a plan for him.
At his funeral mass there were repeated references to a merciful God but it was hard to see the mercy in depriving my grieving sister and her husband of their beautiful son.
I acknowledge now more than ever, the importance of the ritual of the religion, especially in the wake of Rory’s death when I see the incredible comfort that the ceremonies brought to his parents.
I saw God in the incredible caring of Father Tom, from Mayo, in the hospital room in New York in the way he told my little niece that her brother was gone, a truly saintly man.

Despite the overwhelming desire to believe the answer is positive the question must remain unanswerable.
There is no evidence either way that is definitive or conclusive for me.
My awful encounter with death has if anything, increased my sense of how unknown the great questions of our existence remain.
I am comfortable with that. Great certainties held by people unnerve me anyway. All punishing, all powerful, all merciful deities of whatever religion make it too easy to avoid the really difficult question which is: Who are we? Why are we here?
God Is Silent and Unmissed
It is no surprise.
Man misses God and God is always silent.

Being silent ,unaffected by the events around one,joyful at all times is the meaning of attaining peace and Godhood.
When Religion becomes dogmatic, forgetting that the Religion is for the people, right at that moment God, for that Religion, is dead.
‘The Kingdom of God is within you’ said Jesus.
Unfortunately, the Church, instead of following this, has been , for centuries, resorting to blind liturgy, ceremonies and other paraphernalia.Unless the Church returns to the main teaching of Christ , simple living, high thinking,tolerance and eternal quest to realise God,the West shall remain materialistic and be plagued by self doubts.

Europe today is tired of religion and bored by God claims the Irish bishops in a new pastoral letter dated March 29. Throughout the European Union it appears that God is ‘silent and unmissed in the lives of many.’
The bishops’ 12-page document, titled ‘Repent and Believe the Good News,’ advises the Irish not to follow the lead of their neighbors on the continent.
The bishops reiterate Pope Benedict’s observation that Europeans seem tired of their faith, including their history and culture, and they no longer seem to wish to know Jesus Christ.

Harold Camping has been broadcasting his Doomsday predictions around the world
The end of the world is nigh; 21 May, to be precise. That’s the date when Harold Camping, a preacher from Oakland, California, is confidently predicting the Second Coming of the Lord. At about 6pm, he reckons 2 per cent of the world’s population will be immediately “raptured” to Heaven; the rest of us will get sent straight to the Other Place.
If Mr Camping were speaking from any normal pulpit, it would be easy to dismiss him as just another religious eccentric wrongly calling the apocalypse. But thanks to this elderly man’s ubiquity, on America’s airwaves and billboards, his unlikely Doomsday message is almost impossible to ignore.
Every day Mr Camping, an 89-year-old former civil engineer, speaks to his followers via the Family Radio Network, a religious broadcasting organisation funded entirely by donations from listeners. Such is their generosity (assets total $120m) that his network now owns 66 stations in the US alone.
Those deep pockets were raided to allow Family Radio to launch a high-profile advertising campaign, proclaiming the approaching Day of Judgement. More than 2,000 billboards across the US are adorned with its slogans, which include “Blow the trumpet, warn the people!”. A fleet of logoed camper vans is touring every state in the nation. “It’s getting real close. It’s really getting pretty awesome, when you think about it,” Mr Camping told The Independent on Sunday. “We’re not talking about a ball game, or a marriage, or graduating from college. We’re talking about the end of the world, a matter of being eternally dead, or being eternally alive, and it’s all coming to a head right now.”
Mr Camping, who makes programmes in 48 languages, boasts tens of thousands of followers across the globe, with radio stations in South Africa, Russia and Turkey. After 70 years of studying the Bible, he claims to have developed a system that uses mathematics to interpret prophesies hidden in it. He says the world will end on 21 May, because that will be 722,500 days from 1 April AD33, which he believes was the day of the Crucifixion. The figure of 722,500 is important because you get it by multiplying three holy numbers (five, 10 and 17) together twice. “When I found this out, I tell you, it blew my mind,” he said.
Recent events, such as earthquakes in Japan, New Zealand and Haiti, are harbingers of impending doom, he says, as are changing social values. “All the stealing, and the lying, and the wickedness and the sexual perversion that is going on in society is telling us something,” he says. “So too is the gay pride movement. It was sent by God as a sign of the end.”
Mr Camping, who founded Family Radio in the 1950s, grew up a Baptist. Many of his strongly held views – he does not believe in evolution and thinks all abortion should be banned – are relatively commonplace among America’s religious right.
Critics point out that this isn’t the first time Mr Camping has predicted the second coming. On 6 September 1994, hundreds of his listeners gathered at an auditorium in Alameda looking forward to Christ‘s return.
“At that time there was a lot of the Bible I had not really researched very carefully,” he said last week. “But now, we’ve had the chance to do just an enormous amount of additional study and God has given us outstanding proofs that it really is going to happen.”
Mr Camping’s argument has convinced Adam Larsen, 32, from Kansas. He is among scores of “ambassadors” who have quit their jobs to drive around America in Family Radio vehicles warning of the impending apocalypse. “My favourite pastime is raccoon hunting,” Mr Larsen told CNN. “I’ve had to give that up. But this task is far more important.”

Should we follow religious practices?
Content of Faith is more important than form.
Question of practicing and non practicing is more of analysis of of our Faith than actual Faith we have.
Faith is tested belief and as such it does not need reassurance of the same.
Religion as such is meant to enhance the spiritual level of the individual.
When prescribed practices are set in a regular form, human nature rebels and one develops a guilty feeling when they do not conform to what has been prescribed.This is not necessary.
As you have remarked if you have a comfortable feeling with yourself, you are on course.Unalloyed reactions for what we have done or nor done indicates whether we are right or not.Only when we tinker with rationalization we have problems.
All these conflicts arise when you have a standard ,prescribed format of procedures for realizing God.
But if these barriers are removed, it is easy to live the life than practice what we believe in.
Hinduism does not have standard text books to follow.
You can either follow or not.
You deny existence of God, you may not practice , yet you are a Hindu.
In fact the name Hindu denotes geographical identity
You are given the freedom to pursue your course of action.
