A study of the Icelandic class system done by a University of Missouri master’s student found only 1.1% of participants identified themselves as upper class, while 1.5% saw themselves as lower class.

The remaining 97% identified themselves as upper-middle class, lower-middle class, or working class.

On one of three visits to Althing, the Icelandic parliament, I met Bjorgvin Sigurdsson, former chairman of the parliamentary group of the Social Democratic Alliance. In his eyes – as well as those of many Icelanders I spoke with – equality was the biggest reason for the nation’s relative lack of crime.

“Here you can have the tycoon’s children go to school with everyone else,” Sigurdsson says, adding that the country’s social welfare and education systems promoted an egalitarian culture.

Crimes in Iceland – when they occur – usually do not involve firearms, though Icelanders own plenty of guns.

GunPolicy.org estimates there are approximately 90,000 guns in the country – in a country with just over 300,000 people.

The country ranks 15th in the world in terms of legal per capita gun ownership. However, acquiring a gun is not an easy process -steps to gun ownership include a medical examination and a written test.

Police are unarmed, too. The only officers permitted to carry firearms are on a special force called the Viking Squad, and they are seldom called out.

In addition, there are, comparatively speaking, few hard drugs in Iceland.

According to a 2012 UNODC report, use among 15-64-year-olds in Iceland of cocaine was 0.9%, of ecstasy 0.5%, and of amphetamines 0.7%.

There is also a tradition in Iceland of pre-empting crime issues before they arise, or stopping issues at the nascent stages before they can get worse.

Right now, police are cracking down on organised crime while members of the Icelandic parliament, Althingi, are considering laws that will aid in dismantling these networks.

When drugs seemed to be a burgeoning issue in the country, the parliament established a separate drug police and drug court. That was in 1973.

According to reports in Iceland Review, international crime has started coming to Iceland. Not only are criminals being sent to Iceland in order to break the law, but large scale organisations are setting up branches in the Nordic nation.

Sigridur Bjork Gudjonsdottir, assistant national commissioner of the Icelandic police told Icelandic newspaper Frettabladid that international crime has become a reality in Iceland. “Reports from the investigative department of the Icelandic police confirm that organised crime has taken root in Iceland,” she said.

Reports indicate that criminals are being sent from organisations in East and Central Europe in order to commit crimes in Iceland.(icenews)

Germany’s Nazi Trial What is It

The Neo Nazi trial ,postponed ,begins on 14 May,2013.

Zschäpe, 38, dubbed the “Nazi bride” in the German media, is believed to be the sole surviving member of theNational Socialist Undergroundterrorist group that claimed responsibility in 2011 for murdering nine immigrants, eight of them of Turkish descent and one Greek man, as well as a German policewoman between 2000 and 2007.

The other two members, Uwe Mundlos and Uwe Böhnhardt, committed suicide in November 2011 after a botched bank robbery. Only after that did their involvement in the killings come to light.

Shortly after the trial started, Zschäpe’s lawyers filed a motion claiming that judge Manfred Götzl was unfit to run proceedings because the weapons searches placed them under suspicion of “being involved in forbidden and criminal actions.”

The judge then ordered the adjournment to consider their motion, along with another motion brought by a co-defendant.

The case has alarmed the country’s 3 million people of Turkish descent and has been a huge embarrassment to Germany because of the catalogue of errors made by the police and security authorities that exposed them to accusations of institutional racism and of having been blind to the threat of right-wing extremism.

Last month, Germany apologized for those errors at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, describing the murders as “without a doubt one of the worst human rights violations in Germany in the last decade.”

The accused remained silent but defiant.

Authorities Botched Investigation,

rosecutors investigating German neo-Nazi Beate Zschäpe, arrested last November for alleged membership of a terror cell that killed nine mostly Turkish immigrants and a policewoman, may extend their charges against her to include abetment to murder, SPIEGEL has learned.

Zschäpe was initially accused of founding and being a member of a terrorist group in addition to being charged with first-degree arson. Those charges still apply, but the Federal Prosecutor‘s Office will likely also charge the 37-year-old with complicity in the 10 murders and in 14 bank robberies, as well as with attempted murder for setting on fire the apartment in Zwickau where she and the two other members of the terrorist trio, which called itself theNational Socialist Underground, had lived.

I checked the facts.

There seems to a Genocide in South Africa, killing of the Whites by the Blacks ably assisted by a sly Policy of non action and covert encouragement by ANC.

The so-called ‘Farm attacks‘ are not classified as Genocide but as Crime.

Therefore there has been no tangible action by The ANC Government, despite a Committee’s Report.

A Committee of Inquiry into Farm Attacks was appointed in 2001 by the National Commissioner of Police. The purpose of the committee was to “inquire into the ongoing spate of attacks on farms, which include violent criminal acts such as murder, robbery, rape, etc, to determine the motives and factors behind these attacks and to make recommendations on their findings”.^[1] The Committee used the definition for farm attacks as that supplied by the SAPS. The findings were published on 31 July 2003, and the main conclusions of the report were that:

Perpetrators tended to be young, unemployed black men overwhelmingly from dysfunctional family backgrounds.
Only a small proportion of attacks involved murder.
Monetary theft occurred in 31.2% of the attacks,^[1] firearms were stolen in 23.0%,^[1] and 16.0% of farm attacks involved vehicular thefts.^[1] The committee noted that “there is a very common misconception that in a large proportion of farm attacks nothing is stolen”^[1] and “various items are stolen in by far the greater majority of cases, and, in those cases where nothing is taken, there is almost always a logical explanation, such as that the attackers had to leave quickly because help arrived.”^[1]
White people were the majority of the victims of these attacks, but others were also victims; in 2001 61% of farm attack victims were White. While this is disproportionate to the overall white population of South Africa (9.2%), it is in line with the demographics of the country’s landowners, of which whites are a strong majority. ^[13]
The total number of reported attacks was about 2,500, while farmers’ organizations state the figure to be closer to 3,000.^[14]

The Transvaal Agricultural Union (TAU) questioned a number of the report’s findings, claiming that theft and desire for land did not adequately explain some of the attacks.^[15] Additionally, between 2005 and 2009, the rate of rural murders had increased by 25%.^[14]

Killing Spree.

There have only been 5 reported white on black hate murder cases in the last 17 years in comparison with almost 18 590-documented hate murders on white people. For this reason the ANC government propagate on a daily basis about the right wing threat and crimes in South Africa, they propagate untrue news bulletins and articles in the ANC controlled media about right wing terrorist and bombers that the world swallows for the truth, what’s interesting, is the fact when confronted with these news bulletins and articles no case information is given, for it’s a ANC state secret, and a secret that don’t exist. Now it must be understood that in the instance when a government put so much effort into propaganda to smear a specific race group and defend there racist hate songs and speeches, that this qualify as a well-aimed racial hatred warfare and common Genocide tactics. The world thinks the attacks will stop if the ANC leaders don’t sing racist hate songs anymore, it will not, there hate war are not just in songs, but laws, laws that allow black youths to kill in the name of the Communist ANC revolution…

Thirteen dead in Central African Republic gunbattle

BANGUI – Clashes between fighters who seized power in Central African Republic last month and youths loyal to the ousted former president has killed at least 13 people and left dozens wounded, medical sources said on Monday.

The fighting on Sunday was the heaviest in the capital Bangui since a grouping of five rebel movements known as Seleka seized the city on March 24, forcing President Francois Bozize to flee to neighboring Cameroon.

“Following yesterday’s fighting, we’ve recorded 13 dead by gunshot … and 52 wounded,” said Romain Guitinzia, director of the hospital that received victims of the violence.

A previous provisional death toll had listed seven people killed, including three who died when a shell struck their church. The new figures were confirmed by the local Red Cross..”
