Varanasi Eagle Won't Fly Flowers Corpses Don't Smell Cows Don't Dash

It is the belief of the Hindus that  in Kasi/Varanasi/Benares-India

Bodies Burning Varanasi

• Flowers do not smell
• Cows  do not knock you even if you touch them
• Eagles(Golden Eagle) Will not Fly over
• Corpses will nor Smell (while being burnt)
• Lizard(common Lizard) will not  make sound.

Varanasi,Kasi is an important pilgrimage Center for the Hindus.

The above are the specialties of Varanasi.

I have been to Varanasi recently and I can vouch the fact that the Flowers at the Flower stalls did not smell,bodies when burnt did not emit bad odor and cows, though standing in the middle of the road and despite me touching them deliberately, they did not react!

Would some one confirm the other two facts, Lizard won’t make noise and eagle(Garuda) won’t fly over?

Varanasi residents may confirm.

Seems inexplicable.
