India Vs IPL.

In cricket on May 30, 2011 at 09:00

For the ensuing Caribbean Tour only four Players who won India the World Cup,Suresh Raina,Virat Kohli,Harbhajan Singh and Munaf Patel are available.

The rests are dropping out for various reasons, injuries, resting or plain disinterested.

The controversy raging right now on the choice IPL or Indian squad by players is  unsavory.

BCCI is quietly washing its hands off by stating that theIPL owners are responsible for the players not opting for national Duty(though it is in whispers), IPl owners  deflty delect the issue  by stating that they are the people who have informed the player Gambir on his ‘niggles’!

Kapil Dev records that those who opt out of National Duty must be left alone as the Players have the right to choose their own life while Sunil Gavaskar says they should be dropped in future.

If we follow Gavaskar’s logic, shall we drop Sachin and Dhoni as well?

Sachin has been absenting himself because he  wants to rest and play for a longer period in the International arena.

Dhoni needs well deserved rest

BCCI must remember that it gets a share of IPL profits, it plans the IPL schedule and hence it can not accuse the players of the franchisees of greed.

Best way is to organise the IPL in such a way as to give adequate rest for the players.

Once you have brought huge money into cricket it is natural that all will go in for money.

Creativity(!) of Google knows no bounds.

Google’s first payments from its new “electronic wallet” system may be to the online transaction company PayPal, which claims that the company and two of its executives stole trade secrets for the project.

Unveiled on Thursday, the Google Wallet project uses a technology called Near Field Communications (NFC) to allow contactless transactions between consumers’ phones and merchants’ terminals.

But PayPal has filed suit in California following the launch in New York, alleging that Google lured away PayPal executive Osama Bedier earlier this year to obtain trade secrets that are now being used in Google’s service. The suit also names Stephanie Tilenius.

Google Copies yahoo…

I’m not sure if this is stupidity, laziness, or a mix of both, but check this out.

Back when IE7 launched, Yahoo! created a customized version and began to market it to our existing IE users. The “splash page” looked like this:…

Today it seems that Google has similar intentions. So similar, that they decided to basically copy our page and slightly Googlify it. If you look, the design, layout, and most of the text are the same!

Google copies ‘Bing,

First, it was with their sidebar on the left. Next, it was having a wallpaper on your home page. Then, it was testing full-screen results. After that, it was showing results that included social data in an incredibly similar way to Bing (in relation to the recent announcement of Bing and Facebook being in cahoots but not to be confused with Google Social Search). Now, Google appears to be rolling out visual previews (called “instant previews”) of sites such that users can see them prior to clicking through to them. Personally, I think Google’s rendition of the feature is quite nice but it lets me know that we shouldn’t be so quick to count out Bing.

Dog walks Home After Three Weeks On Two Legs After Lost in Tornado

In animal behavior on May 27, 2011 at 15:26

He probably didn’t have to walk 300 miles.

But it was certainly an ‘incredible journey’ for Mason, the plucky pup who crawled home on two broken legs after a tornado tossed him up and left him for dead.

The scrappy dog had been hiding in a garage in North Smithfield, Alabama, when the storm hit on April 27.

It whipped through the community, destroying houses and uprooting trees, but when it had passed Mason was nowhere to be seen.

His family had all but given up hope when two weeks later they returned home to sift through belongings only to find the dog on their doorstep.

He was in a bad way with what appeared to be broken limbs.
