Chennai Crowd,Not Knowledgeable,South Indian Bowlers Unfit?

SSanjay Manjrekar,Television commentator , said on 16 Feb on Star Cricket, during the  World Cup 2011 warm up match between India and NewZealand‘ the knowledgeable crowd of Chennai,I am wary of saying this’.

Sunny Gavaskar who was commentating along with him immediately stated ’No,  definitely very knowledgeable,in the respect they pay to the players and to the fine points of Cricket’

Sanjay Manjrekar may not know or not fit to remember that Chennai crowd is the only crowd that lauds the winners even if India loses, if the other does a splendid job( like when they applauded Lloyd’s men or Pakistan when they won a  match). During last season Sanjay Manjrekar made an unwarranted remark that ‘bowlers in this part of India( meaning South)  are not fit nor do they adhere to physical fitness‘

There is no substantiation from him.

This went unnoticed.

Is this ignorance?
